Nice....
I recently saw a hotel Ving card and it certainly had the feeling of Deckard's apartment card. |

Sounds like the new DVD release is going to take away a lot of the mystery surrounding the BR props.
Just the few wallet and ID/card bits posted so far are REVEALING to say the very least.
And I like the vidphone card with the bell logo too!! _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

I always thought it a little 'coincidental' that a blurred shot of the worldcon I.D. happened to look a lot like the wallet set version.
Almost like someone gathered their info from a blurry screencap.
Odd isn't it?
The non-disclosure agreement may be considered by some as a way of preventing anyone 'in the know' from seeing it.
I be a tad pissed if I paid $1000 for something that ended up being pretty bogus.
I almost went for it too - bloody glad I didn't in the end. |
Also the keycard in the wallet set looks alot like an interpretation of the card seen on screen. The red coloured areas of the wallet project card are forming a pattern alot like the red kanji that kevin had brought to light.

Also, others I spoke with that have been out to Southwell's stated that the ID's they saw resembled the WorldCon variety. Although I'm sure you are aware he has quite a cache of BR production art still in his possession.
Sorry Phil, but right now I just don't believe it.

Amen to that Karl!
Those pictures were a long time coming. Besides all of the amazing production information that has been shared over the last year, to these pictures give me a great deal of closure once and for all.
Karl's photos brought to light many mysteries surrounding this film and prompted some very direct questions. I just want people to remember those who pursued knowledge and others who perpetuated disinformation.
Thank you to John (Spinner44), Karl, and everyone else who has spent time looking at this objectively and not out of ego. The best part is that this is just the beginning, this DVD set should help bring a great deal of light to many other mysteries that have kept us up at night in wonder and hopefully a lot of lively debate.

I also want to thank Charles de Lauzirika for all the work he has done with this set and for putting his "Fan's Touch" on it. I am having a harder time waiting for the 18th I can tell you. |

Kudos are in order, but to suggest that anyone is truly objective or that ego-gratification is not a strong motivator for those who engage in the more clinical discussions is, at best, naive, and smacks a little of self-congratulation.
Like any other prop research discussion, the "battle of the experts" is laden with subtle and not-so-subtle efforts to elevate status and credentials, usually at the expense of others. Some are just better at playing the game, but that should not be equated with intent.
In any case, a lot of good information has come to light. |

Charlie is the man. Every DVD he is involved with is excellent, top notch, and generally packed with cool as hell extras. The man does his job well. Better then most. I wish him all the success he can handle in life.
There was a time I didn't think his blade runner boxed set would happen, and I can't even express how happy I am that it has.
Now, about this wallet business . . . _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Glad to have let some fairly large cats out of the bag - especially when it concerns the wallet set.
There's another apartment key image on the disc 2 or 4 which I'll try to post tomorrow.
Should be getting the new soundtrack on Friday or Saturday too.
It really feels like Christmas... |

I second that notion! I'd love to see the flipside of the keycard as well as that cryptic red text and hole pattern on the front.
It's crazy having to wait until christmas (for the blue-ray 5 disc) to see all this stuff when the dvd set is available in the shop next door!!
I don't even have a blue-ray player, but this film is reason to get one! as well as other classics soon to be released.
Anson: do they show any images of leons/rachels photo's from the movie? |

Listening to Tom Southwell in the Dangerous Days doc he says that Ridley asked for an additional piece which was red to be stuck on the Key card.
It was then laminated...
I'm thinking something similar to the red 'X' on the I.D. card - the clear red stuff?
That's my theory anyway!
More photo goodness...

keycard - "Greek on back".
Hmm. I'm trying (and failing) to think of any other use of Greek in BR graphics. |

great stuff! really like the Tyrell cards
The red on the keycard was the kanji/katana text which was probably printed on a transparent overlay (like the white areas of the vidphon card) thus that is the "creased" layer with the edges you see on the card in the movie. |
