Yeah, I'm really looking forward to putting this together--gonna take my time though! I messed around with the grips a little and got them to line up better with the finger grooves (I edited the pics in my earlier post to show them better)
Dave
(Also, to avoid any confusion, the extra 5 rounds of .44 Special were left over from my Coyle V.4 and I just threw them into the bag)

That will make Jackie feel better we though she had messed up.

OK here is the first draft. Of some of it.
http://s922.photobucket.com/albums/ad67/racprops/Propsummit%20SE%20Blade%20Runner%20kit%20instructions/
If someone has the program to create short URLs please do so…
OK Check these out, tell me what you think, ask questions etc.
Please forgive any typos (I don’t mind you pointing them out I will try to fix them) I get a little punchy doing all these pictures.

That is the URL of your album page and it is password protected so we can not view it. We need the individual URL of each photo. Usually all you have to do is copy the url from the clickable url box from your thumbnail page, or right click on just the full size photo, and hit properties to get the photos URL by itself. In photobucket when you click in the url box below the photo it usually automatically copies it, and then you just have too paste it into your message.

Okay, It looks like the album doesn't have any pictures loaded to it yet. Also if you click the box that says "IMG code" that will appear under each picture when in the album and with the cursor over it, it will copy the code for posting the pic in your message. You can also copy the "html code" to post a link to a picture that is very big. Here is an example using your first picture in the grips section...
If you want to shorten links let me know I can do it for you.

The instruction album does not have any pictures per say they are in the sub folders as you found.
Could you go into the sub folder easy?
So can this one link lead you to the folders?
Looks like it did.
Shorten URL will help posting this.
Thanks.
Are the pictures too large?

OK I can see some typos myself…will try to fix them later.
Is this format OK?? Pictures with text and tips work?
Can everyone see the sub folder/albums??
I will put some pictures of the new model built in the main album when I finish a couple.
I tried to share a few tips and tricks.
And I will be adding more pictures and info ASAP.

Is there any kind of order that we should be doing things in? What about parts preparation - should we be sanding and bluing before we start construction or is it case by case? |

Well, I start by drilling and taping all the holes and prefitting all the parts.
Think of the metal as hard plastic, everything you would do is sanding and preparing a part works here.
With the added bonus of being able to polish the metal to a very shiny finish.
The Black parts can be sanded and even body filler like used on a car can be used to get a super finish.
This will work only on the parts you are going to paint. The metal parts will have to finished without filler. Unless you are going to paint them then anything goes.
Once sanded and finished, I preassembly the model to see if I need to tweak or fix anything, do that before painting or bluing or blacking.
I do it as assemblies, the receiver, make sure the bolt works freely.. then the pistol body, make sure the trigger and hammer works correctly and that the cylinder latch and release works, make sure it then works with a cylinder and bullets will fit as well.
Prefit and build it before painting and finishing, then sand and polish etc as needed.
Once everything fits and works I take it apart and start painting and finishing the parts.

Hey Rich I noticed in the instructions it says to use a #43 drill bit
that wasn't included in your list of recommended wire gauge bits
was just wondering if there wre any other drill bit that I should have on
Hand besides the #43 and the ones you already listed? |

A # 42 will work just as well. The threads will run a touch tighter as well.
Sorry I use both.
