TFS, stonedog. Just how bad were the fumes while bluing? |

Fumes, I'm not the most careful type in the world, I wore gloves and did the bluing indoors next to an open door, but ended up with an headache straight after every time, probably short of a few little grey cells now (not that I had that many to start with)
All I would say is do in a well ventilated area. |

Orders for the Retailer edition about to open!
http://tenshu53.exblog.jp/20476410/
From Tomenosuke Blaster Pro Retailer Edition the second lot, LED units have been switched from made-in-China to made-in-Japan, but there had been a delay on the delivery of this, causing a knock-on delay on our distribution as well. To those of you who have been waiting, sorry for the delay.
The photo shows people checking the first and second pieces from the second lot of Assembled Model. From the left, Mr. Kawashima, the President of Marushin Kogyo, Mr. Ohtani, manufacturing chief, and Nobutaka Toku (aka Toku-san), the Model Maker.
Even though it was few, we regret the inconvenience caused to our buyers due to some products that had cylinders which did not swing out smoothly slipping into the first lot. So this time, it has been decided to check all pieces (250 units of Assembled Models and 30 units of Assembly Kits), with Mr. Mitsuaki Munegumi (aka Mune) from Hollywood Collectors Gallery, Toku-san and I pitching in.
Pre-order will be accepted from Wednesday 10th December at Hollywood Collectors Gallery. They will be shipped out after New Years day.
Incidentally, for European customers who wish to buy Assembled Models, please apply to Hollywood Collectibles in the United States directly. The shipping cost will be considerably lower compared to sending from Japan. |

What's the fix for the non-swinging cylinders? Mine is locked shut. |

I would contact who you got it from, Hollywood Collectors Gallery or Tomenosuke, and ask them about a replacement.

Loosen either the slotted screw or weaver knob a bit and wham problem solved. My buddy figured this out. The screw is slightly too long and jams up much of the revolver functions. |

I'll give that a try. Not too keen on returning it just yet. |

Sorry Joberg...I got those
Looks like they are making an extra effort in quality control this time...like they said, quite a few got through last time round with trigger and cylinder door problems.

I got mine in the first run of this incarnation. As much as I love this I haven't warmed up to the matte receiver and still wish it was polished and blued.
As a person who owns many firearms this item does seem a bit overpriced. For literally half the price you can get a new functioning blued steel semiauto. My Tomenosuke Pro cylinder locks up on occasion, on the other hand.
But I aknowledge you can't compare a short run hand-built product to a mass-produced firearm. I have no regrets but, goshdarn it, I do wish that receiver was polished blued metal. |

Agreed, Dascoyne. Where the idea for the matte finish came from God only knows. I always thought the whole idea behind creating this prop was to replicate the original as closely as possible.. |

IF that was the program then it should be STEEL in color NOT blued.
